Halfbeaks are new to the fishing bait market, which is a good alternative to Blueys. They are a similar looking fish to bluey/garfish in appearance with oily content. Also similar to the popular fishing bait in the USA Ballyhoo.
Could be great for both Sea and Pike fishing.

Been out a couple of times and used these. They don’t seem as oily as a lot of the descriptions. I wouldn’t have said compared to mackerel or Bluey. They are tough! Prob the toughest fish bait that I’ve ever tried putting a hook through. Even the scissors had trouble! Not caught anything on them yet, but it is feb. Crabs couldn’t destroy them either whilst out on a local estuary mouth.
